Despite subdued economic forecasts, there is a shortage of around 140,000 IT professionals in this country, according to one study. Globally mobile IT professionals prefer other countries for tax, family, or weather-related reasons. So if they don’t come to Germany, local companies would have to go to them with their IT requirements and tasks. The know-how, technologies, and cooperation models are available to work remotely for local companies from nearshore locations in Romania, for example.
